Broward College Vietnam 2017 Commencement carried an inspiring message as it marked two promising beginnings for our graduates and freshmen. At the same time, the genuine presence of President David Armstrong and the representatives of Broward College (Florida, U.S.) provided the students of Broward College Vietnam with fresh impetus and encouragement to stay the course and follow through with their academic and professional aspirations.
In his address to the graduates, President David Armstrong ascertained that their achievements are well-merited and they should attribute such achievements to the people that stood behind their success, who are their parents, families, and instructors.
President Armstrong also sent his advice to the graduates about the new challenging roads ahead after completing their first 2 years at Broward College Vietnam. He emphasized that continuous self-commitment is the key to success: “A Broward College degree opens doors for your higher education. For the graduates today, regardless of what your goals in life are, it is always our utmost desire to give a hand in actualizing your dreams. You will have to continue to work hard, and we will be here to make sure that you have access to as many opportunities as possible.”
Besides, the President also held in high regard the result and the teaching quality of Broward College Vietnam in the last 10 years, and underscored the robust accreditation alliance amongst international centers of Broward College worldwide. “This does not only mark the success and the new beginnings of our students, but also a testament to the sustainable growth of Broward College international centers, contributing to the collaboration for a global education. We are proud to witness the success of Broward College Vietnam since its establishment in 2007. The association between the parent campus in the U.S. and the international center in Vietnam was further strengthened in 2011 when we received official accreditation from SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) to offer two-year Associates of Science Degree programs in Business Administration and Hospitality and Tourism Management.”

For freshmen taking their first steps at Broward College Vietnam, President Armstrong demonstrated strong belief in the quality of teaching as well as the abundant hands-on learning opportunities that they will be provided with.
The President asserted that the U.S. always welcome students from all over the world to come study and later on come back to contribute to the talent pool of their home countries. However, there will be a lot barriers that international students have to overcome. For that every reason, to minimize that barriers, Broward College was and is working on the expansion of the 2+2 program to many countries in the world, taking on a new path that will foster and develop the “globalization” and “international education” values of Broward College.
Following that, Broward College students can transfer to any universities in the U.S, Canada, Australia, etc. to complete the last 2 years and receive the Bachelor Degree after completing their first 2 years studying in Vietnam. Among 33 graduated students in 2017, there were 19 of them attended because another 14 students are preparing for their transfer to the U.S this Fall.
