On 24 July 2017, Broward College Vietnam collaborated with EY Vietnam to organize a Business field trip for the students. This is part of an ongoing initiative at Broward College, which promotes students’ involvement with the local businesses, to not only enhance knowledge relevance but to also enrich the learning with hands-on experience students of the Business Administration program.
EY is one of the Big Four that specializes in professional services as auditing consultancy, tax, trading, and finance. Until now, EY Vietnam has attracted more than 1000 employees working at the 02 offices of the firm in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at Viet Nam, along with their coverage expansion to Laos and Cambodia.
Broward College Vietnam students were taken on an instructed tour of a section of EY Vietnam at Bitexco Tower, HCMC. Through this tour, students were given the chance to experience an international standard-compliant workplace.
For the two-hour duration of the visit at EY Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City, Broward students got a peek into the field of Accounting/ Audit and Advisory as well as the typical employers’ requirements for fresh graduates. The entire discussion was led by Dr. Tran Vinh Du – EY Vietnam Advisory Partner, Mr. Dinh The Anh – Director and Ms. Chau Nguyen Truc Quynh – EY Vietnam M&A Manager.
Broward College Vietnam students were very inquisitive and demonstrated genuine interest to get to know more about EY Vietnam, about Dr. Tran Vinh Du’s experienced lessons as well as available internship and full-time employment opportunities at EY Vietnam.
This business field trip left the students impressed and provided them with first person observation of the working process at one of the top companies worldwide, giving them the incentives to work harder towards achieving the qualifications needed by international employers like EY.
